秘境の民族をとる、ヨシダナギ。

バラエティー番組の「クレイジージャーニー」で特集され、最近は写真展も多く開かれているヨシダナギさん。
幼少期にアフリカ人に憧れ、大人になり単身でアフリカへ。
ヨシダナギさんの写真には様々な民族の衣装はお祝いや、狩りに行く前など儀式のような、特別な時に着る衣装を纏った民族が多く収められている。
その民族の一番かっこいい瞬間を撮るには、民族に理解してもらい、民族と距離を縮める必要がある。そのためには民族に合わせて裸になったり、昆虫を食べたりすることを厭わない。他文化を理解するのは、まずはその文化の同じことをして理解することかもしれない。

生の写真は光彩がとても美しく、民族の肌がとても綺麗に光に映えている。どのように加工しているか調べると、PhotoshopとLightroomを使って写真の修正・加工(レタッチ)は行なっていて、1枚に20時間以上は時間をかけてレタッチをしているそう。
写真は独学で学んでいるので、現場では試行錯誤の連続らしい。

ネットが広がった今世界のことを知った気でいるけど、まだまだ知らない世界があることを気づかせてくれる写真家。

アラスカを生きた写真家、星野道夫

彼が綴るアラスカの風景、動物、人々の暮らしはあたたかい。

冬は氷点下60度にもなるアラスカの地の人々の暮らしを日本に住む私が想像すると、
どうしても雪景色の中に毛皮をきて狩猟をしている様子しか想像ができない。
しかし、星野道夫が描くアラスカには四季があり、私たちと同じ感覚を持っていると感じることのできる人々の暮らし、動物たちをみじかに感じるようなクスッと笑ってしまうエピソードが散りばめられていて遠く離れた世界の話ではないように思うことができる。













彼のことを小学校の国語の教科書で知り、その当時は動物と距離の近いダイナミックな写真を撮る人だなとだけ思っていた。20年後こうやって彼の文庫本を手に取り、アラスカの大自然、オーロラを見に行きたいと思っている自分がいるとは想像しなかった。本人を生前知っている訳ではないが、それだけ魅力的な人だったのだろう。

"人間にとって、きっとふたつの大切な自然があるのだろう。一つは日々の暮らしの中で関わるみじかな自然である。(中略)もうひとつは、日々の暮らしと関わらない遥か遠い自然である。そこにいく必要はないがそこに在ると思えるだけで心が豊かになる自然である。"

Hoshino Michio was a Japanese photographer and adventure who lived in Alaska.

He also write about the life of Alaska in his essay.

Despite of Alaska cold wether,　his word was really worm.
For me live in Japan, I can only imagine that Alaska people are wearing fur and hunt the animals in the snowy fields.
It is partly true but Hoshino write four seasons of Alaska and worm life. Also he pictured animals with humor and we can feel that Alaska is not far from us mentality. 

I read about him on my junior high school text book.
In that time, I only think how dynamic his pictures are.
Now 20 years from then, I took his book and imagine to travel to beautiful Alaska.

"There are two kinds of Nature for human kind. The one is familiar nature that surrounds us. The other one is nature that is far from us. It is necessary to go there but the nature make us rich at heart "

日常の景色

Saul Leiterは画家であり写真家。

日常の誰もが見ているはずの風景を美しく独自の目線で切り取る。

街の雑多な風景が彼の写真に治ると削ぎ落とされ美しくなる。

彼の視点で日本の満員電車を見たら美しくなるのだろうか。

日常に素晴らしい瞬間があることを思い出してくれる写真家。

写真家として有名だが、画家を目指し、生計を立てるためにもともとは写真を撮っていたライター。印象派のボナール、フェルメール、マティスなど、また浮世絵にも影響を受けていて、和紙に書いた絵を数多く残している。

写真では60年余り住んでいたニューヨークの「イーストビレッジ」のアパートの周りの景色の作品が多い。

写真集「ソール・ライターの全て」は写真とともに彼の格言が載っているので、

彼の思想と作品の結びつきがわかるのでおすすめだ。彼が写真家として復活のきっかけとなった写真集「Early color」も次に手にしたい。

デンマーク出身のフラワーアーティスト、ニコライ・バーグマンの作品は、
大胆な花使いの中に整然とした美しさがある。
その整然さはどこか日本の枯山水の庭や盆栽に通じるところがある。

また芸術作品にとどまらず、ショップもあり自宅でも彼の作品を楽しむことができる。
青山フラワーマーケットなどチェーンはあったものの、

一人のフラワーアーティストがブランドになりショップを持つのは今まであまりなかったように思う。

彼のショップは青山、銀座、新宿、丸の内、有楽町、大阪、神戸、京都、福岡にあり、
フラワーボックス、ブーケ、プリザーブドフラワーを販売している。店舗によってはスクールやレストランがあり、様々な形で彼の世界観を楽しめるようになっている。
従来のブーケはもらうと持ち帰るのや、水換えなどが大変だったが、
ニコライのフラワーボックスは持ち帰りやすくプレゼントもしやすい。

The methodical flowers are similar to Japanese garden and Bonsai.

We can enjoy his art pieces at our house.

I think it is rare case, one flower artists have shops as a brand.

He has shops around Japan,Aoyama, Shinjuku, Marunouchi, Yurakucho, Osaka, Kobe, Kyoto, Fukuoka. They sells flower box, bouquet, preserved flower. Some shops held a flower school and restaurant, we can enjoy his worlds.

裸のお花。
フラワーアーティストの東信とボタニカル・フォトグラファーの椎木俊介の手にかかると、花たちは本来の姿をむき出しにする。彼らの写真に写っているのはお利口に並んでいる花屋の花と違う、性格が悪く、生命の生々しい部分を隠さない花たち。
それと同時にグラフィックアートのような無機質な側面を見せることもある。
椎名林檎の音楽を花にしたらこんな見た目なのでは無いだろうか。

彼らAMKK（東信、花樹研究所）はオートクチュールの花屋「JARDINS des FLEURS」を南青山に構え、世界中でプロジェクトを打ち出している。一つは植物が行ったことの無い宇宙(成層圏)へ風船を使い盆栽を飛ばすプロジェクト、2つ目は海の上の生花。花の存在価値の限界に挑戦している。

彼らのサイトは一つのアートムービーを見ているようで、彼らの独特の世界観が見て取れる。ワンクリックでなんでも情報が得られるインターネットの社会を皮肉っているようなサイト構成になっているので、どこをクリックしても明確な情報を得られない可能性はあるが、一度のぞいて見てほしい。

create a new type of flower bouquet.
They take pictures of a flower as a villainess. The flower doesn't hide there grotesque parts. At the same time, these they plays a part of inorganic.

They(AMKK) have an Haute couture flower shop which located in Minami-aoyama,Tokyo 'JARDINS des FLEURS'. AMKK did two projects that try the limit of flower value. One is they launched the plant an attitude of 30,000 meters. Second one is they do ikebana in the sea...

「透明標本」

骨は地球で最も美しい造形かもしれない。

透明標本の考案者、冨田伊織。

特殊な薬品を使用して、「筋肉を透明化、軟骨を青く、硬骨を赤く染色する」のが骨格研究の手法だそう。標本として永遠の生命を手に入れた生物たちは芸術作品のような美しさを得る。生物を造形美として愛でることの出来る透明標本は、新しい発見を与えてくれるな。

His book said 'immersion in the special chemical was a technique of anatomical research which made the muscles transparent, and dyed the cartilage blue and the bones red.'

【Flowerist】No.1 Macoto Murayama

村山誠さんの作品を一言で表すなら「花のレントゲン」
花がレントゲンを撮られ、解剖された花の設計図でもある。
彼の作品では有機物が無機物なものに変わっていく。
作品からは生きている花からは想像できない違う一面を見る事ができる。
普段美しく儚いと愛でているだけの花を科学的に表現しているのがおもしろい。

制作方法は、まず花を解剖しスケッチを行い、設計図を書いていく。その後特殊なプリンターで出力をする。花もここまで計算されて、丸裸にされているとは思わないだろうな。
